Matt Cardwell with K and B Striping wraps up painting stars Tuesday on a football-field-sized American flag painted in Robert Burr’s front yard for the Fourth of July. Burr’s company, the Blue Ridge Group, has the flag painted every year at his home on Cemetery Road, just past Hayes Lane. Thursday is the Kiwanis Club’s Thunderfest at the National Corvette Museum’s Amphitheater and Friday is the Bowling Green Chamber Orchestra Star Spangled Spectacular at the Guthrie Bell Tower and South Lawn.
