Rev. George "Ottie" Hancock, Jr. Age 83, of Knifley Road, Knifley, Ky, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky after an illness.

He was the son of the late George and Huldah Quinn Hancock of Adair County. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Bill, Sam, Robert, Jack and Ben Joseph Hancock, Nellie Bault, Juanita Sluder, Ruby Hancock, two half sisters, Effie Hadley, Evie Henson.

He was a member of Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church, he has been a pastor for over 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Warren Hancock of Knifley, one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tammy Hancock of Campbellsville, two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia and Raymond Atwood, of Knifley, Nancy and Tim Sapp of Nashville, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Robinson Chapel Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.
