Hoover French of Campbellsville, son of the late Emmett French and Mary Catherine “Cattie” Morris French, was born December 17, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 2:45 P.M., Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Campbellsville.     Age:  79

He was a retired farmer.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

He united in marriage to Jean Quinn July 11, 1953.     

Besides his wife, Jean French, he is survived by three sons and two daughters:  Kenny French and wife Wanda, Kevin French and wife Mary, Pam Holmes and companion Mike Helm, and Phyllis Cowan and husband, Donnie of Campbellsville and Keith French and wife, Nancy of Hawesville; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister:  William H. French and wife, Alberta of Campbellsville and Mural Gentry of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
