Madge Banks Farris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Morton Banks and Audra Dillingham Banks, was born June 10, 1924, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 11:51 A.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee. Age: 84
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was one of its oldest living members.
She united in marriage to W. L. Farris, Jr. February 9, 1945. He preceded her in death November 5, 1994.
Surviving family members include two daughters and sons-in-law: Diana Farris Kirtley and husband, Clyde of Washington, D.C. and Kathy Farris Hoeppner and husband, Charles S. of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Melissa Kirtley and Harold Lewis Kirtley, II of Lexington, Kentucky and William Powers Hoeppner of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters: Frances Moore of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Edna Blaydes of Columbia, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews
and many other relatives and friends.
