Ivan G. Blevins

Ivan G. Blevins of Campbellsville, son of the late William T. Blevins and Anna Hunt Blevins, was born March 28, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:21 P.M., Tuesday February 16, 2010. Age: 79

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of Battery B 623rd Field Artillery Battalion.

He was a retired real estate developer.

He united in marriage to Margaret Christie who preceded him in death March 10, 1971.

He united in marriage to Judith Wilson Moore who preceded him in death

January 16, 2010.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Blevins-Clark and Mark Clark of Campbellsville and Julie Moore Toy and Rob Toy of Charlotte, North Carolina and a son and daughter-in-law, John D. and Leslie Moore of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren:  Casey Ennis Guajardo and husband, Jorge, John Toy, Wesley Toy, Melissa Moore, Christopher Moore and Mary Jordan Moore; two sisters and one brother:  Delora Ford and husband, Paul of Campbellsville, Haskell Blevins and wife, Marie of Lake Placid, Florida and Ina Tucker of New Albany, Indiana; sister-in-law, Pearl Blevins of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Blevins Beams July 3, 2004 and a son in infancy March 4, 1955 and by four brothers and two sisters:  Cecil Blevins, Thomas Blevins, Otha Blevins, William L. Blevins, Neva Morris and Vada Thomas.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Don Watson

 

VISITATION:  After 5:00 P.M., Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home 

 

BURIAL:     Brookside Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard

Rest in Peace Ivan.Even though you and my mother(Wanda Dusel)divorced I have always wished you and your daughters well.
